Hey there! I'm Yumi (she/her), product designer with 10 years of combined research, technical writing and design experience across multiple industries.
I'm dedicated to improving people's lives through inclusive and intuitive digital experiences. Currently at Lyft, I'm a lead designer for critical Customer Care initiatives that provide drivers and riders with easy access to help, real-time support and instant solutions.
Growing up, I studied to become a scientist while spending lots of time creating art. Fast forward to today, working professionally as a product designer makes me feel like both scientist and artist. The best part is that I get to find solutions to complex problems that make someone's life easier.
I'm currently based in New York City with my husband and our super fluffy cat (previously Seattle, San Francisco, Japan, and Colorado). I love to explore cities, travel abroad, drink coffee and read all kinds of books.
